Nike Winflo 11 Review

The Nike Winflo 11 is a top of the range daily trainer that is versatile and can be used for a wide range of activities. In this Nike Winflo 11 Review I will go over my experience with this and see how compares to competitors.

A good level of cushioning is an essential component of a great shoe. A cushioned midsole helps relieve stress from the joints and provides support that makes long distance runs much easier.

Good support is essential for all runners, so it is very important that when buying trainers an individual buys running shoes that have enough support. That may look different for all runners but it is important to consider.

It is important that a supportive running shoe provides a stable platform and reduces the risk of potential injuries.

I believe that it is important to buy shoes that have been built to last. If you are going to spend your own money on shoes then they should stay in good working condition for many months to come.

Making sure your shoes fit properly is very important as if a shoe is too big it can cause the shoes to start to rub against you feet causing blisters and other discomforts. By not having a shoe that fits it will also get rid of the possibility of a comfortable run.

Breathable materials in the upper part of the shoe helps keep the feet cool and dry during runs. This is because it helps prevent the build up of sweat and moisture in the shoe which reduces discomfort and irritation when running.

A breathable upper shoe enhances comfort and can be a life saver when running in hot days as it helps prevent overheating. This makes shoes with this feature an excellent choice as well as a comfortable fit.

Running shoes can get really expensive and if you are someone that runs a lot you will have to keep coming back to buy more. This can really add up which is why I have added cost to the list of important factors.

Nike Winflo 11 First Impressions

When I first opened the box I did notice right away how squared off the heel was. In past models, the heel was more rounded or pointed. It was a good surprise that was pleasing to look at. It gives it a more modern look that I really liked.

The next thing I noitced was how nice the upper material looked. Nike really did a great job of improving the aesthetics of this shoe.

When I first put them on I was happy with how plush they felt. The tongue had extra padding so once you tied the laces your foot felt very locked in and comfortable.

There was also plenty of room in the toe box which helped prevent discomfort when running down hills. There was also break in period.

The midsole felt much more padded and this can be attributed to the additional insole that gives you a bit more comfort.

Why Should You Buy These Shoes?

If you are looking for a high quality shoe that can be used for anything then this model will not disapoint.

Why Should You Not Buy These Shoes?

If you are looking for a shoe that will wow you in any area then this shoe will disappoint. Although it is good in every area there are no features that will particularly stand out. If you are looking for a very fast daily trainer then I would recommend the Mizuno Wave Rebllion Flash 2 or if you are looking for a highly cushioned shoe then I would recommend the Adidas Adizero SL 2.

Upper of the shoe

The upper is made out of engineered mesh material that gives your foot an overall plush feel. The upper is very similar to the Winflo 10 but has a little more thickness to it yet it is still very breathable.

Nike has also given this shoe more room in the forefoot and a wider heel which were features that I really liked. They are also perfect for all-day wear, especially when your feet start to swell a little.

The heel counter is nicely padded and built up. You will have great heel lockdown without the need for a runners knot or any other kind of tactical lacing. The elastic midfoot band also helps with this lockdown.

Foam of the shoe

The sole of this shoe is very thick due to the Nike air unit and the Cushlon 3.0 foam that runs down the length of the shoe. This foam is very responsive and will provide you with a balanced run/walk.

These shoes did not do too well on longer distances so if this is a problem then I would recommend having a look at either the Nike Pegasus or the Asics Kayano.

Sole of the shoe

This shoe is a neutral trainer and doesn’t offer any stability. It can handle mild pronators but there are other stability shoes out there that will help you much more with those issues such as the Saucony Omni 22.

The outsole is made from rubber which helps offer excellent traction on all different kinds of terrain. It also makes the model very durable to the point where I used this shoe for over 70 miles and there were very little signs of wear and tear by the end.

Conclusions to the Nike Winflo 11

Overall, this is a great daily trainer that can be used for anything. It doesn’t wow you in any area however it does everything well. There are no major issues that I have and overall I would highly recommend this model.
