Asics GT 1000 13 Review: Is this the Perfect Shoe?

Asics has a long history of releasing amazing daily trainers that come in at a very reasonably price. The Asics GT 1000 13 is no accpetion to this rule and is in fact one of the marklets top stability shoes. I have been using this shoe as my daily tariner for the past month and I am very excited to share my thoughts.

In this Asics GT 1000 13 review I will be taking you through every detail of one of the best stability shoe on the market.

A good level of cushioning is an essential component of a great shoe. A cushioned midsole helps relieve stress from the joints and provides support that makes long distance runs much easier.

Good support is essential for all runners, so it is very important that when buying trainers an individual buys running shoes that have enough support. That may look different for all runners but it is important to consider.

It is important that a supportive running shoe provides a stable platform and reduces the risk of potential injuries.

I believe that it is important to buy shoes that have been built to last. If you are going to spend your own money on shoes then they should stay in good working condition for many months to come.

Making sure your shoes fit properly is very important as if a shoe is too big it can cause the shoes to start to rub against you feet causing blisters and other discomforts. By not having a shoe that fits it will also get rid of the possibility of a comfortable run.

Breathable materials in the upper part of the shoe helps keep the feet cool and dry during runs. This is because it helps prevent the build up of sweat and moisture in the shoe which reduces discomfort and irritation when running.

A breathable upper shoe enhances comfort and can be a life saver when running in hot days as it helps prevent overheating. This makes shoes with this feature an excellent choice as well as a comfortable fit.

Running shoes can get really expensive and if you are someone that runs a lot you will have to keep coming back to buy more. This can really add up which is why I have added cost to the list of important factor.

Energy Return

There is no better feeling than being propelled by a responsive running shoe. A running shoe should that gives energy back to the runner can make all types of runs feel so much nicer. This catagory is even more important in race day shoes.

My First Impressions of the shoe

When I first opened the shoe box I was shocked to see how remarkably similar this shoe was to it’s predessor. There was however one key difference, the energy return and comfort on this shoe was on another level.

There was also another host of different anti-pronation technology which really helped keep my pronation to a minamum while still allowing me to have a natural stride.

Why you should buy this shoe

There are a host of reasons to buy this shoe and if I had time I would right a whole book about them but I am going to have to keep it short. If you are looking for a good value, stylish running shoe that will help keep yopur pronatiuon in check then quite simply this is the shoe for you.

Why you should not buy this shoe

If you are a runner that does not sturglle with pornation then you might want to consider a neutral running shoe. If you are unsure which type of runner you are ou can check with a gait analysys at your local running shop.

Upper of the shoe

The upper of this shoe in the previous version was good but not very durable but this one has taken with breathability of the previous upper and made it insanly durable. I was a big fan of this supper and I honestly couldn’t fault it.

Foam of the shoe

The foam on this shoe was remarkably stable but much to my delight also had a lovely bit of bounce which is rare. I was also very impressed with how well it perfromed in different weather conditions. A lot of foams just don’t perfrom in extreme but I took these out in the snow and it was still great.

Sole of the shoe

The sole on this shoe was quick thick which did add a little bit of unwated weight but it did have some insane traction and durability. I think this made the little bit of extra weight all worth it.

Conclusion to this Asics GT 1000 13 Review

To conclude I think that this is a great shoe that would be well suited to anyone with pronation issues who is looking for a supprotive shoe that still allows for a natural stride. I was really impressed with this shoe and I look forward to using it more in the future.
