Adidas Supernova Prima Review

The Adidas Supernova prima is a max cushion daily trainer that can really do it all. When I say it can do it all I mean everything from racing to sprinting. Even if it is slightly pricey, I have really enjoyed testing this shoe and I am looking forward to sharing my thoughts.

In this Adidas Supernova Prima Review I will be taking you through every detail of one of the most versatile shoe I have ever used.

A good level of cushioning is an essential component of a great shoe. A cushioned midsole helps relieve stress from the joints and provides support that makes long distance runs much easier.

Good support is essential for all runners, so it is very important that when buying trainers an individual buys running shoes that have enough support. That may look different for all runners but it is important to consider.

It is important that a supportive running shoe provides a stable platform and reduces the risk of potential injuries.

I believe that it is important to buy shoes that have been built to last. If you are going to spend your own money on shoes then they should stay in good working condition for many months to come.

Making sure your shoes fit properly is very important as if a shoe is too big it can cause the shoes to start to rub against you feet causing blisters and other discomforts. By not having a shoe that fits it will also get rid of the possibility of a comfortable run.

Breathable materials in the upper part of the shoe helps keep the feet cool and dry during runs. This is because it helps prevent the build up of sweat and moisture in the shoe which reduces discomfort and irritation when running.

A breathable upper shoe enhances comfort and can be a life saver when running in hot days as it helps prevent overheating. This makes shoes with this feature an excellent choice as well as a comfortable fit.

Running shoes can get really expensive and if you are someone that runs a lot you will have to keep coming back to buy more. This can really add up which is why I have added cost to the list of important factors.

Energy Return

There is no better feeling than being propelled by a responsive running shoe. A running shoe should that gives energy back to the runner can make all types of runs feel so much nicer. This category is even more important in race day shoes.

My First Impressions of the shoe

When I took the shoes out the shoe box, I saw some writing on the side of the shoe and it said Dreamstrike. When I saw this I thought that this was a bold statement.

For a first run in these shoes I took them out on a 20km long run all the way through my home city. You know how I just mentioned that dream strike was a bold statement, it is accurate! After every foot srike these shoes like magical. Even though the foam was slightly firm the shock absorption was just next level.

Why you should buy the shoe

If you are looking for a top level do it all trainer then this is the shoe for you. In all my time as a runner or even my time reviewing running shoes for this site I am yet to find a shoe that can do such a wide range of things so well.

Why you should not buy the shoe

I think that this shoe is great but just like all shoes it is not for everyone. The foam is slightly firm which means it isn’t quite as comfortable as some others shoes out there so if comfort means everything to you then you might want to consider another option.

Upper of the shoe

The upper of this shoe is very breathable, so much so that when I took these shoes on a run in the 40 degree heat of my summer holiday my feet left it feeling cool as a cucumber. In terms of the support this upper offered me it too was unparalleled. I am very impressed with this upper.

Foam of the shoe

As I have mentioned before the foam on this shoe felt quite firm which I didn’t actually mind when I was running but when I just wore these shoes around for a day my feet did feel slightly bad at the end of the say which wasn’t ideal but in terms of running the foam was all okay.

Sole of the shoe

The sole of this shoe gave some great traction and it wasn’t too thick. This prevented the shoe from feeling clunky and heavy. In terms of durability that was also amazing. I logged exactly 105km in these shoes and even after that there was very little sign of wear.

Conclusions to this Adidas Supernova Prima Review

To conclude I just want to say what a unique shoe this is. I am being honest when I say there is really nothing else like this out there. I have really enjoyed using it and I look forward to testing future versions.
